Angela Tiatia’s Survey / Fā’aliga is the first solo exhibition in Māngere for this emerging video performance artist. Currently residing in Sydney, Australia, Tiatia was born and raised in Ōtara, Auckland. This exhibition surveys her video works from 2008 to the present. Tiatia’s work discusses the impact of globalisation on the Pacific as well as stereotypes of the Other and the use and misuse of femininity in mass consumer culture.
