AAF 2016 line-up keeps growing! Check out our new announcements.

World Premiere Season show announcements, incredible New Zealand works and so much more just around the corner!

Te Po Auckland Arts Festival

As part of our World Premiere Season we’re delighted to be co-producing two incredible shows with our friends at NZ Festival-Te Pō and Brass Poppies.

Auckland artists Theatre Stampede and Nightsong Productions'Te Pō is an eloquent and surprising new comedy about searching for someone you have loved and lost, and finding them again.

Ross Harris and Vincent O'Sullivan's chamber opera Brass Poppies, co-produced also with NZ Opera, powerfully shows that the First World War was not merely a military story but also a domestic one, shared by ordinary men and women on the battlefield and the home front.

Also part of our World Premiere Season, John Psathas’ No Man’s Land will see 150 live and virtual musicians from more than 20 countries perform at Auckland Town Hall in a once-in-a-lifetime event not to be missed!

The NZ premiere of Waves by Alice Mary Cooper - the story of young Aussie Elizabeth Moncello, unofficial inventor of the famous butterfly stroke - will aptly make its way to Piha and Waiheke as well as Q Theatre. And powerful documentary theatre piece Not in our Neighbourhood makes its Auckland debut at Q Theatre and Te Oro, Glen Innes.

And don’t forget – our full 2016 Festival line-up will be announced and on sale on November 5!
